Image

Atheists meet up, inside a place of worship. Whats wrong with this picture?

Image

Ang kinatatakutan ng bawat freethinker

Natatakot ba kayo na masabihan na “a taste of your own medicine”?

Image

Merry CHRISTmas atheists! God bless!

God bless you all.

We are humans too

A victim of the Boston bombing

The Boston Bombing was a shocking and very tragic day in the post 9/11 world. The United States has been fortunate to avoid a major terrorists plots ever since the Twin Towers fell, just remember the foiled bombing of Times Square a couple of years back. The bomb just smoked, alerting the authorities and scaring the heck out of New Yorkers whom are scarred for life by the 9/11 attacks.

Survivors of the Boston Bombings, they were lucky

Survivors of the Boston Bombings, they were lucky

The incident that left 3 dead and hundreds of injured is just a simple reminder to the country that their war on terror is far from over even if they already killed Osama bin Laden. The Al Qaeda network is a hydra and Uncle Sam just clipped one of the heads.

Another victim of the Boston Bombing

Another victim of the Boston Bombing

But I am going to focus more on the moral perspective of this tragic incident.

This is not a Katheryn Bigelow script nor a criticism of Zero Dark Thirty.

The tragedy that occurred in Boston is well publicized and it has sent a shock wave through out the world and left many people with the question: Who did it? Why?

Terrorists

Terrorists

First thing that will come to the minds of the people would be the terrorists, namely Al Qaeda. That will send shivers down the spine of every Americans since they thought that decapitating the Al Qaeda network would surely cause the entire terrorist organization to disband, but what happed is a clear sign that Al Qaeda or the home grown cells that were influenced by it are still on the game. Just when you think its safe to say the word “Terrorist” again, think twice people. It turns out that the bombers were brothers from Chechnya and as of this writing, the U.S government hasn’t found any significant evidences or links that the Chechen brothers have received training in Al Qaeda camps. They have forgotten the fact that the 1995 Oklahoma  bombings were handiworks of a Caucasian American, Timothy McVeigh and not by some Arab terrorist group.

Yup, the whole world mourns with Boston

Yup, the whole world mourns with Boston

To make things complicated, Russia has warned the U.S about the brothers’ sudden change of behaviours (I heard that bit from CNN) and the Yanks did nothing.

Why? Of course the first thing would come to their minds would be “Vengeance”, but that is kind of vague since “vengeance because of what? ” would make more sense. These terrorists are avenging what?

Avenging the death of Osama bin Laden -100%

Avenging the death of  Al Qaeda/Taliban leaders-100%

Lets try to understand that vengeance is the main thing that drives these terrorists to kill “innocent “ people. But the word “innocent” must be reserved for the people who are indeed unaware of what is going on.

Martin Richard, the 8 year old boy who died in the Boston Bombing

Martin Richard, the 8 year old boy who died in the Boston Bombing

Why did I mentioned the word “Innocent”? well lets say that the United States and all of its citizens are fully aware of what is happening in the world. They knew what kind of war they are fighting and the risks and sacrifices that are involved, and with this digital age, even an 8 year old kid can be informed that a terrorist can kill and damage property and as a good citizen, they can help  put terrorists behind bars somewhere in an American held territory in Cuba. Nobody is innocent after all…

Lets focus on the victims shall we…

The victims are indeed innocent to the fact that they never committed any crimes, they never harmed a fellow human being. They are purely innocent because they don’t know what will happen to them. They are innocent people who just happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time, and as innocent people, they deserve the right to live. Nobody has the right to take away their lives away from them.

And as clockwork, the American people who neglected their spiritual if not their religious obligations have flocked the churches and gathered for candle light vigils in remembering the victims.  I have attended Masses in the US before and the attendance is quite normal in my point of view but when it comes to segregating them by races, I am not surprised that Caucasians are the least present in the service, the rest are the blacks and Latinos. Guess the American people are more pre-occupied with their daily lives even though they can at least spare an hour to praise God. And now that terrorist bombs have exploded, they all flock to Churches to pray for a while, the same thing they did after  the 9/11, and when the wounds of the attacks begin to heal, the American people will move on, they will forget that they even attended any religious services. Back to normal.

I have realized that if God would like to catch your full attention, He will do it in mysterious  ways. A sudden tragic occurrence can be one of those ways, just look at the American faithfuls pray for the victims.

And lets shift our focus on the other side of the globe…

The US has admitted that they have been successful in targeting their most wanted people, whether by sending a platoon of Navy Seals to search and destroy ops or by bombing the suspected terrorists to kingdom come. But there is a significant thing in all of these efforts by the US that is often neglected by the American people. This is what they  call “Collateral Damage”.

A U.S Predator drone, both used as a reconnaissance and a

A U.S Predator drone, both used as a reconnaissance and a missile launcher

Collateral damage is a term used to refer to the properties or lives that were unintentionally destroyed or killed in an offensive operation.

The U.S has been successful in many black ops that resulted in minimum casualties but in certain cases, there have been cases where collateral damages that are so high that photographic evidences of those “collateral damages” can make a person yell “murder!”.

Even the media has reported the fact that Americans have been showering other countries with missiles

Even the media has reported the fact that Americans have been showering other countries with missiles

If an American civilian loses his/her life on a terrorist attack whether the act was committed either in abroad or in local places, the whole world mourns and sends their sympathies to that victim’s family and to the country. But when a civilian from some 3rd world country (lets say a Pakistani or Afghan)  gets killed by a hellfire missile from a US Predator Drone, does the US sends any condolences or at least a simple apology for the wrongful death? NOPE. The U.S will claim that it is deemed necessary to include the civilians in the area as collateral damage so the Americans can finally put an end to a terrorist’s reign of terror who happened to be located a few feet from the poor unsuspecting civilian. One less terrorist in the world will make Uncle Sam sleep better at night  at the expense of innocent civilians.

I remember when the U.S bombed a “suspected” terrorist camp in Sudan, the camp turned out to be a pharmaceutical factory that manufactures aspirin.Whoops!

Do I have to explain further?

Do I have to explain further?

So what is the crime of that particular civilian (Pakistani or Afghan)?

What is this child's crime against the United States?

What is this child’s crime against the United States?

He or she happens to be sitting next to the terrorist?

A child just like Martin Richard

A child just like Martin Richard

A relative of the terrorist?

A willing human shield?

Or just a classic case of wrong place wrong time scenario.

These is what Americans call "Collateral Damage",these children were sacrificed so Americans can surely kill a terrorist

These is what Americans call “Collateral Damage”,these children were sacrificed so Americans can surely kill a terrorist

What happened to the U.S is a result of alienation. A couple of alienated Chechenyouth who found the American way of life incompatible with their own lives. I have to admit that I didn’t liked the way Americans live either. The U.S has been enjoying a carefree and liberated lifestyle that it alienated the rest of the world. Time for the U.S to realize that the world was not created just for them.

The U.S government has also been always on the offensive, they never reconsidered that their actions kill innocent lives that will add alienation to the rest of the world. Their so called “policies” regarding other countries is a clear sign that they are committed to control the world. The Americans have been meddling in other people’s business but they don’t want other people to meddle with their business.

The U.S should stop committing acts of  violence as much as possible so they wont reap the fruits of their violent labor. If the U.S would only believe in God just like what their coins say, they would conclude that violence is not always the solution, and just like what Jesus Christ said in the garden of Gethsemane when Peter chopped a guard’s ear-“Those who live by the sword shall die by the sword”. The U.S should be the first one to observe peace.

In today’s perspective-“Those who bomb other people will be bombed as well”

The victims of the Boston Bombers are human beings with rights, but for the victims of U.S bombings in other countries, don’t you think they have the right to tell the world “We are humans too”. Amen.

An Open Letter to an Ungrateful Newspaper

I have been reading the Philippine Daily Inquirer since I was in elementary, back then I am not interested in the Editorial Section of the newspaper because what do I care about a bunch of people speaking their minds?

Image

Cardinal Sin is a big influence during the first EDSA Revolution, that restored freedom to all Filipinos, the same freedom we enjoy today.

Now that I am an adult and sorry to say to the people who write in the Editorial, I am not a gullible person. After the issue regarding the Reproductive Health Bill [I don’t consider it as a legitimate law], the Philippine Daily Inquirer has been very vicious, vocal and aggressive against the Roman Catholic Church. And just last Holy Thursday, the Philippine Daily Inquirer’s Editorial has included a letter from a lapsed Catholic. Well they picked the wrong time to print that letter. Its a slap in the face to print that anti-Catholic message in the middle of the Holy Week, which is a Holy Day for billions of Catholics around the world. The only funny thing that I saw at that particular edition of PDI, is that it was so thin that a notepad is thicker, our worker even commented that the newspaper is so thin that its price is not even worth its weight!

Image

Radio Veritas, do I need to say the meaning of the word “Veritas”?

I have read some of the Editorials and I am not going to name the writers because they know who they are and they know what they wrote for the past 5 months. Its like they made a hobby or a career to attack the Catholic Church on a daily basis and its like their space in the newspaper is not enough. Its like they wanted to print an entire book just for their own opinions.

Image

Even dictators respect a man of the Church, especially if that man of the Church happens to be a Catholic Pontiff

I am a Catholic and I know what is right and wrong. This newspaper is enjoying a freedom brought partially by the Catholic Church. If the late Pope John Paul II didn’t visited the country back in 1981, Marcos would not lift the Martial Law and just imagine how many activists and journalists have been incarcerated during that time, if Pope JP II didn’t visited our country, Marcos could have send more activists and journalists to the slammer. Cardinal Sin along with Cory were considered as the “Architect of the People Power Revolution”.

Image

This statue of the Virgin Mary is the most memorable icon of the EDSA Revolution aside from the main highway itself…

Just remember during the 1986 EDSA Revolution, during its most intense moment, a familiar voice was heard during a radio station, that voice is urging the Filipino people to go to EDSA to aid the defecting officers of Marcos, namely Enrile and Ramos. Who is the man behind that voice? Cardinal Sin, a Roman Catholic. And where did he made that broadcast? In Radio Veritas, a radio station which broadcasts Roman Catholic inspired programs.

Image

Marian Rivera’s character as a Catholic nun during the EDSA Revolution reenactment in the Lupang Hinirang promo by GMA-7

Just take a look at the pictures of the EDSA Revolution, you would see Roman Catholic nuns and priests praying in front of tanks. They are the ones who are standing and praying in front of those tanks, while the photographers are too busy snapping pictures from a safe distance. Even Marian Rivera would agree, she portrayed a Catholic nun in the GMA 7’s version of Lupang Hinirang.

Image

Sisters in EDSA, it s a clear sign that the Church did have a positive contribution to freedom, the Filipino people just have the “Kalimot” disease…

This particular newspaper is either a communist in disguise propaganda tool (judging by the radical activists that write in their editorial columns) or just plain atheists in disguise.

And as for the columnists from Philippine Daily Inquirer, their threats that the Catholic Church would lose its parishioners due to the clergy’s meddling with politics, well all I can say is that I AM THE ONE WHO IS CHANGING NEWSPAPER. Amen.

The Hypocrite

I am here to express my reactions regarding Carlos Celdran’s recent guilty verdict. Anyway, I believe that mass media is BIAS and they would often put Carlos Celdra in the limelight as  a martyr. Plain and simple.

Image

Well what can I say? Karma. With a capital K!

I have been following Carlos Celdran on his facebook account and i have left lots of comments, and most of them offended him because I was giving him a piece of my conservative Catholic mind (its very obvious that he is allergic to anything Catholic), and just recently he blocked my comments because I criticized him almost everyday. But what strikes me is that he is fighting for freedom of expression and yet he blocked my comments? Where’s the freedom of expression in that? Some of Damaso’s supporters are half witted and one sided because they think that Damaso is being attacked but they refused to see his attacks on the Catholic Church.

Image

Why on earth would you call Intramuros a fresh hell? Dont you benefit from Intramuros and you call it hell?

Seriously, I don’t even have to elaborate any further how hypocritical Damaso is, he refused to publicly denounce his Catholic faith and yet he shows respect and admiration to Catholic traditions. He hates the clergy not the Church itself but that is a big pile of atheist rubbish. I told him once on his facebook account “why don’t you establish your own Church?”, I never got a reply from him.

Image

The thin man on the right is Red Tani. The president of the atheist group Filipino Freethinkers, notice the woman in Damaso’s left, she is wearing the Filipino Freethinker’s t-shirt

Carlos Celdran may have confessed his sins to the CBCP a long time ago but if you or any readers would recall an event in Jesus’ life where he told a woman to “Go and sin no more”, Carlos Celdran “went but sinned again”. He may have blocked my comments but I can still see his anti-Catholic posts, he called the Pope a “douchebag”, he called the CBCP names, he even told me he renounced his Catholic faith long ago, and i still have the e-mail of that comment saved in my yahoomail.

Image

And whats the irony in all that anti-Catholic remarks?

Image

Kaartehan.

Like I said at the start of this blog, he prays to Catholic shrines. He prays to the Lady of Guadalupe, a Catholic veneration of Mama Mary’s apparition in Mexico which was under the influence of Spain, the same Damasos, the Philippines was ruled not directly from Spain but through Mexico. I remember he posted it back in December 12, 2012 because the rh bill is about to be passed.

Image

Damasoism 2: What does he know about being a woman himself? What a BOOB! oh by the way he doesnt have BOOBS

He mentioned good things about the Black Nazarene a few weeks back, isn’t the Black Nazarene a Catholic tradition?? Another irony is that he is a close friend of Red Tani, the president of the atheist group Filipino Freethinker, I can remember Red Tani said in a video blog on iTunes that the Black Nazarene procession is “Stupid”, I am not lying Ladies and Gentlemen, Mister Tani said that and yet Damaso supports Tani’s group.

Image

Have you guys seen the way he shows his disgust to CBCP? He even has a picture in his facebook of a drawing of ArchBishop Oscar Cruz shaped as a male organ. If you think that is not offensive personally then you are either numb or apathetic. He probably deleted those pictures and posts by now but I doubt it.

IMG_2410

Why? Are you the only one in this world who has the exclusive rights to say bad words? The freedom of expression is a RIGHT! not a privilege to satisfy your anti-Catholic urges

IMG_2411

Its ironic that you quote the Bible and yet you are close friend and supporter of a group that disrespects the Bible.Ever heard of the saying”Birds of the same feather flock together”?

IMG_2429

Damasoism 3: If something bad happens like “losing his phone”, he will blame it on the CBCP even t hough he knows that his own “kaburaraan” is to blame.

IMG_2390

Is that a trick question?

IMG_2389

Feeling celebrity

IMG_2364

Close friends kayo?

He may be a tour guide but he called Intramuros a “fresh hell”, and one time he called a group of American filmmakers bad names because the foreigners cancelled the private tour at the last minute and whats wrong? He posted it on facebook, come on, even if he had  a bad day, its not right to express it on line with the utmost vulgarity. So much for an ideal tour guide. Foreign tourists would have a bad impression of Filipino tour guides that they will get a bad mouthing while their backs are turned. What can I say, as long as Damaso is concerned, freedom of expression is absolute.

IMG_2331

Your doctor has warned you…

IMG_2329

Thats what you get for disrespecting God, you are neglecting your own health cos you are too busy making fun of Catholicism.

IMG_2328

Ok, ok, even atheists like you have to show your “good” side

IMG_2324

and whats that make you? an angel?

IMG_2307

IMG_2292

if the CBCP supports teen pregnancy so therefore you are against it, cos with pregnancy, life begins regardless of the mother’s age, and since you are an RH Bill advocate therefore you condemn any woman that gives birth. A Culture of Death advocate.

Image

Bastos pa rin

Damaso’s ego is being fuelled up by his supporters who see him as an atheist messiah. A martyr. But in my point of view he is more of a reluctant martyr because he said that he is “willing to pay the price for a BETTER Philippines” and yet he and his legal counsel is appealing the court’s decision. Where is the willingness in that? Did Jesus Christ complained all the way to Golgotha? Did Jose Rizal screamed all the way to Bagumbayan?

IMG_2244

I dub thee…Carlos Damaso Celdran, the Condom Begging Tour Guide of Intramuros, the Pimp of Metropolitan Manila, rise and be recognized

IMG_2252

What will you do if the people of the Philippines re-elected these people? you’re gonna jump from an airplane without a parachute? You’re gonna have your testicles removed?

IMG_2248

An anti-Catholic man prays to a Catholic Shrine. Mind you, Protestants do not pray to the Virgin Mary.

IMG_2245

Either you envy Chiz cos he has a beautiful girlfriend or are you just plain INGGIT

Oh by the way, so much for a man who considers September 30 as “International Blasphemy Day”.

IMG_2240

Damasoism 4: Its okay to say to your customers bad words, as long as you have a thousand facebook friends that will support you in all of your tantrums

IMG_2241

Bitter. Just remember what happened to you in Dubai

IMG_2239

Damasoism 5: another example of Kaartehan, next time pick another airline.

IMG_2129

What a religious man!He only calls God and quotes the Bible when he needs help…

IMG_2086

Really? How come you didnt threw a party?

IMG_2078

Damasoism 6: Bitter.

IMG_2023

The Pimp of Metropolitan Manila has struck again this time abroad.

IMG_1958

The important question is…do YOU have delicadeza?

Aside from the Catholic Church, the poor chap appears to be resentful of almost anything that doesn’t agree with him. He said rude things about SM et al., politicians who are anti-RH bill, anti-RH bill congressmen and congresswomen, Cebu Pacific (I was stranded in Tacloban for 3 hours waiting for my Cebu Pacific flight back to Manila but I didn’t complained because I was in the company of good friends), Lance Armstrong (anu pakialam niya kay Lance Armstrong? Close sila?), even foreigners are not spared from his filthy mouth, I am wondering what was he thinking when he cancelled his show in Dubai?

I don’t believe that Damaso will ever learn his lesson, never with that kind of ego stashed inside his thick skull. But I believe his time in prison will teach him a thing or two. I expect his supporters will visit him everyday to give him the comforts of the outside world, but what will the other inmates will say with Damaso’s special treatment?

Someone told me that what you feel deep inside your heart will reflect your outside appearance, meaning it will show in your aura. Because of Damaso’s utter hatred of almost everything and everyone, he starts to show ill health. Well I prayed for his recovery one time but unless he changes his way, his health would deteriorate, take for example Miriam Santiago, the way she despises Juan Ponce Enrile she ended up with a ruptured eye vessel that led to a mild stroke. And as for Juan Ponce Enrile, he is still healthy as an ox. See?

Damaso’s guilty verdict is such a relief, and although this event gives me a slight admiration for the secular world, I still don’t believe that the secularism that Damaso is advocating would bring any better things in our country, just look what the secular law did to the secular advocate. Now he is urging the government to trash the law regarding “offending religious sensibilities”, what’s next? Decriminalize robbery? decriminalize adultery? decriminalize murder?

I laugh at Damaso’s fate, I don’t envy his successful tour business, I laugh the way he paid 30,000 pesos for a business permit. I laugh at the fact that even though he is a popular chap, many Filipinos doesn’t care or give a crap on what he thinks. Ask an ordinary Filipino passing by and ask if they knew Carlos Celdran, either the answer you will get is either no or don’t care. That is a true image of a Filipino that Carlos Celdran would hate, a Filipino who doesnt recognize him.

The freedom of expression is a double edged sword and when offended people are now rallying and screaming for justice, the freedom of expression will not shield Damaso from a flying stone or bottle aimed at his shiny bald head. Freedom of expression is not going to shield him from the judgement of God.

That is why Damaso is against the anti-Cybercrime Law because with that law, his freedom to give the Church the dirty finger would be outlawed. Without the freedom to offend, freedom is nothing. Salman Rushdie said something similar but look at Rushdie now, he is still on the run after almost 24 years of hiding. I doubt Damaso can live like that.

My advise to Carlos Celdran, repent, stop his anti-Catholic ways and be grateful that he is not going to end up like Salman Rushdie. And as for me, I pray that he become a modern day St. Paul, so I can call him Mister Carlos Celdran once again. Amen.

The Shame of Maxene

I kinda liked Maxene Magalona ever since she became an actress, I even remeber seeing her as one of the kids in Ang TV, but now she is a full fledged woman who has finally made a name for herself in showbiz just like her late father Master Rapper Francis M.

A few years after her father’s death, and now the RH Bill is getting a lot more steam than usual, even celebrities are bravely supporting the bill which somehow makes them a wee bit hypocrites.

First of all, I would like to point out the mother of Maxene, Mrs. Pia Magalona, who has been a mother ever since she was 18 years old. Pia is a supporter of the bill but I cant blame her for her stand because she had kids out of wedlock from a previous relationship, and no ladies and gentlemen, i am not referring to the rapper as the father.

A young Mazene Magalona, probably at the age where she think “sex” is a bad thing

But then again for an advocate of the RH bill, doesnt it seem strange that condoms and contraceptives are widely available even back then and yet she and Francis punched out 8 children? including the lovely Maxene who’se beliefs are a mirror of her mother’s.

After a few months after seeing Pia Magalona’s interview and how she blamed the situation  for being a mother of 8 instead of blaming her and Francis’ overactive libidos for having too much kids, I just read a very shameful article by her daughter Maxene. And although I am not a bit surprised about her pro RH Bill, but what she shared in the Philippine Daily Inquirer shocked me beyond belief, I never expected something like this even from a liberated woman such as herself.

http://entertainment.inquirer.net/59090/maxene-magalona-a-staunch-supporter-of-rh-bill

After reading her statements, I forgot that the article was meant to say her stand regarding the RH Bill, but later on she made a full confession about her “private” life, and of her ex boyfriends as well.

Its very nerve wrecking for her to say that  “Premarital sex is obviously an important part of a relationship. I don’t have anything against people who wait until they get married, but this is just how I think.”.

She just admitted her active sex life right there and then!

If she believes PMS as an important part of a relationship so that means (without a doubt) she lives it with all her heart so it is quite obvious from this point that she had slept with her ex boyfriends, the question is did she slept with them all?

One Night Stand

Well she said that she doesn’t practice it, but she should know better than saying it herself on newspaper, if she doesn’t do it, why share her views about it? If she is not against it that means she may have done it with a friend or ex. Sheesh, her RH Bill support bcame a full blown sex confession, I wonder if she contributed some on FHM Ladies Confessions.

The Philippines is a conseervative country and I dont see any drastic changes coming anytime soon, but Maxene’s statement that “Times are changing and we all should adapt,” thats pure BULL! If a nude fad became a trend that doesnt mean all Filipinos should strip to their bare necessities just to make themselves with the “IN” crowd.

Maxene’s revelation came at a right time now that her father is long gone, but I dont believe that Francis M. would like to find out that his daughter has an active sex life even if he was an RH Bill supporter. No father would like that. But failed fathers would condone it just to atone for their mistakes.

I am very disappointed that she even shared her views about sex and judging by her statements, she thinks that couples who wish to find out their compatibility in bed is just SICK! Maxene, Maxene, just imagine some green minded men out there fantasizing you right now.

I am not saying that she should change her views about the RH Bill but she reminded me of that Filipino saying “Kung anu ang puno yun ang bunga”. AMEN.

Underground

Well the Filipino Freethinkers may have received a few minutes of fame a while back but then after their so called exposures to the media, these so called secularists, humanists, atheists, pessimists, ridiculists have gone back to their “lungga”. Probably a spacious Starbucks branch somewhere in Makati or Quezon City.

The FFts have so far extended their reach to the internet by posting their home made videos and even uploading it on Youtube and they even managed to create a podcast on iTunes! Well wonders never cease, or do they? Their podcasts are less than 10, as of this moment they have 8 all in all. I believe that this people have all the time in the world not to mention too many resources and yet they have to come up with only 8? 8 anti religion podcasts? Why? Podcast not too popular with the masses?

Lets leave the FFts for a while and lets desseminate our own society.

We all know that the Filipinos have been believers of Deities even during the pre-Spanish Colonial times, that means religion or shall we say faith in a supreme being (or whatever name you want to call God) has always been in the blood of countless Filipino generations and I don’t think that Filipinos would just denounce God just like that, even if Red Tani and his Filipino Freethinkers (oops I mentioned the group again, sorry!) promote the concept that no God exists.

Lets shift our focus in atheist countries such as Cuba, China and North Korea. These nations are just a few countries who are officially atheist, they don’t let their citizens practice their faith in any other way unless the government sanctioned the religion.

In  Cuba, a Catholic country before Fidel Castro took over  is still a Catholic country. The government just restricted the practic eof religion in Cuba. If I may quote a film featuring Che Guevarra  “In Cuba there is no official religon, but many people still believe in God”. Even if the Castros tighten their grip on religon, faith in God will still linger from the peasants up to the highest member of the government.

China, is probably the worst when it comes to suppressing religion. In order to look good in the International News, China has to officially approve certain religions such as the Catholic Church but the government is the one who has the authority to pick who is going to be the leader of the Church in the country, the Politburo has the shots who’s who to ordain. Sorry Pope Benedict XVI, better pray for China harder so they will end up just like their comrade the Soviet Union one day. Did I mention the religions practiced by the Chinese like Buddhism, Taoism? Well at least the people of China is not 100 % atheists.

North Korea, the Catholic Church has remained steady in the Bamboo Curtain! In an episode of Don’t Tell My Mother, Diego Bunuel entered a church in North Korea because he is curious about the church and  the irony because NoKor is officially an atheist country. Well he walked right in a Mass, where the government appointed priest (just like in China)celebrates Mass with the parishioners who are less than 20 and the entire celebrationlasted less than 20 minutes. Well I can t really blame the people there because NoKor has always been a reclusive country perhaps that is the reason why the Vatican City hasn’t established a diplomatic connection with NoKor because the government is fiercely paranoid about outside influences.

Well there are a few atheist countries in the list but I just pointed out the worst ones when it comes to suppression of religion.

The Philippines may have been having problems with Communist insurgencies which doesn’t respect religion but I don’t believe that the ordinary Filipino especially the poor ones to give up their religious beliefs because of extreme poverty. It is their current state that makes them cling to God stronger than ever.

What the Filipino Freethinkers are trying to do is to guarantee every Filipino their right to choose, to choose what to believe, and not to believe, but it is crystal clear that they wanted to abolish any kind of religion.

Religion is rooted deep in every Filipino’s way of life and the FFts know that.

I just find it hilarious that after 3 years of perseverance, their message hasn’t made any impact yet on the public’s attention, having  a few interviews with Howie Severino doesn’t make them popular as an organization that can provide any significant impact on Filipino society.

The Filipino Freethinkers would always be an underground group, they are too scared to come out of their own social closets so the people will find out for themselves what these certain “intelligent people” can offer them that can change their lvies for the better.

Read my lips my Freethinking friends U-N-D-E-R-G-R-O-U-N-D. AMEN.

A Freethinker(?)

The Filipino Freethinkers headed by a certain Red Tani has been shown before on national television. But before you check this particular group, try checking the group’s background first via their own website and facebook accounts (as of this writing, the group has a couple of accounts).

If you are familiar with this group, you can see that this particular group headed by Red Tani has one mission, separation of state and church, but if you can note the things they have posted in their website and facebook accounts, separation is not enough, it is the total aboliton of the church and the establishment of a state without any moral codes or values, that is why in every issue that the Catholic Church is discussing (whether it is the RH Bill, LGBT Rights etc.), always expect the Filipino Freethinkers to appear out of nowhere to contradict the Catholic Church. Their mission is to bash the church with all their might.
It is no question that this group is an atheist group, but do not be fooled when they say that they have deists in their ranks, you have to take note that a person who is a member of a religious organization can still claim that they are a member even though they no longer practice their faith. The example of this people are like the ones who say that they are a Christian but lacks the effort to attend a worship service with an alibi that God is everywhere and they don’t need to show their faces in church in order to receive God’s blessings.
First lets start with the group as a legitimate group. Well as of this moment, the Filipino Freethinkers promote science, reason and secularism. Seems nothing wrong about their advocacy but they failed to say that they just wanted a 100% secular in other words…Godless society since most atheist believe that as long as there is a God out there, man will never be free, and this group are the Freethinkers remember that fact! Remember how they supported Raymond Palantino and how they defended him when Palantino’s proposed bill that would remove religious objects inside offices was scrapped? The Filipino Freethinkers defended Palantino without mentioning that they supported the young politician with his bill. In my personal opinion, it is quite obvious that the bill was implanted in the mind of the young politician, that is why the Freethinkers reacted that way when the bill was scrapped, just like a baby wailing after someone took his candy…boo hoo hoo!
Well the only mistake this group has made is that they act like children. Pure and simple. They even posted on line their strong reactions about their failures.
I remember watching a video during one of their forums (If I remember it was their first forum), it was quite amazing that this people managed to organize a forum but unlike a regular forum, this gathering looked just like an ordinary classroom Group Discussion. And just like what I expected, the forum was attended by mostly atheists. And lo behold the President himself, Red Tani, who said that he is an atheist, BUT they can also consider him as an agnostic. Well judging by his statements, it is well clear that Red Tani is not that convinced with his beliefs or unbelief. For an atheist, there is no God.Period. For agnostics, the existense of God and His role in man’s life is debatable, but that doesn’t mean an agnostic is a believer. Mr. Tani on the other hand is trying to sail in two different rivers. I belive Filipinos have a term for that, BALIMBING. If Mr. Tani doesn’t believe in God, he better proclaim it to the entire world that God doesnt exist so he can raise his arms straight pointing in heaven and giving God the “finger”, because he is confident that God is not going to punish him for his blasphemous act.
Speaking of blasphemous acts, just check out the facebook accounts of this so called freethinkers and judge for yourself how they defy God and yet accept people who believe in God.
Hmm…in an interview, Red Tani claimed that the Filipino Freethinkers have many Catholic members, and yet in some of his forums, there were only 2 deists (what are the odds that these 2 believers happen to be Catholics? Mr. Kenneth Keng [the group’s president for Rh Bill advocacy]who claims to be a Christian happens to be an Episcopalian). But no matter how they bash the Church, it is quite hard to imagine that the Catholic members of the Filipino Freethinkers can stand how their fellow freethinkers and friends lash the Catholic Church? How did you ask? Simple, these so called Catholic members are liberated, they believe what they wanted to believe, they pick out the beliefs that are practically suitable to their lifestyles and they disregard the others, needless to say, these so called Catholics are the ones who claim they are Catholics but couldn find a spare time to go to Church because they are scared to death about the priest’s sermon hitting them right on the butt. For them, insulting the priests is totally acceptable since they accuse the clergy of hypocrisy without noticing their own hypocrisy. They believe what they want to believe, and they found a safe haven in the arms of the Filipino Freethinkers.
In other matters, the Filipino Freethinkers claim that they are not anti-Catholic but anti-clergy. They accuse the clergy of hypocrisy. They may compromise with a church without a clergy the same way they will start a conversation with a headless organization. If they wanted the clergy out of the Church, so how do they expect the people who follow the Church to celebrate the Holy Mass? But of course if an ordinary Filipino celebrated Mass on his own eventhough he is not an ordained priest will be condemned by the Vatican.
Remember in the Bible, where propet Samuel warned King Saul because he disobeyed the will of God? King Saul disobeyed God by offering the sacrifices to God himself, because Saul couldn’t wait much further for the arrival of the prophet so he offered the sacrifices himself. Samuel warned King Saul that the he [Saul] would lose his kingdom, after the warning King Saul disobeyed God again…enter David. -1 Samuel 13-15.
What is the point of that Biblical story? Well, for the freethinkers, they believe that a Church without its leaders (meaning the priests up to the Pope) is a better option, the clergy must be eradicated so the people can have the choice to believe what they wanted to believe, without the clergy preventing them. But these freethinkers failed to realize that God, Himself, with His blessings, these men were ordained to become men of the cloth and now this freethinkers wanted to abolish the clergy? By the way, I saw how these freethinkers who call themselves Filipinos ridicule the CBCP, a certain public figure[this person is not really a member of the group but he is well acquainted with them] even posted a caricature depicting a Filipino Archbishop in which his body is resembling an erect male sex organ. I can only imagine that this is his way of paying back the CBCP for being thrown in jail.
I am just wondering why the Filipino Freethinkers keep on bashing the CBCP and yet they failed to ridicule Pope Benedict XVI? Double standards? Or perhaps the Filipino Freethinkers are practical church bashers, they will only mock those they can get their hands on. Perhaps they can send Red Tani (or Kenneth Keng, he is wealthy enough to travel to Turkey) to the Vatican so he can spit on the Pope’s face and spray paint the walls of St. Peter’s “THERE IS NO GOD!”, but they need money, if you can check on their website there is a “donation” button in it via pay pal. Sheesh, donations today, tomorrow tax exemptions for atheists…
As for these atheists…yes for me the FF is an atheist group, if the head is an atheist, the whole body is an atheist.

And for the members of the Filipino Freethinkers who would read this blog, I don’t mean to offend you guys but if you believe that we live in a free country so you know that criticizing your group is an inalienable right according to the Constitution in FREEDOM OF EXPRESSION.
Friendly atheists? Well here’s Mister Friendly Catholic. AMEN.
